It is one of the thirty-two departments of the Republic of Colombia, with its capital in Bucaramanga. It is located in the northeast of the country, in the Andean region. With a population of approximately 2,280,908 in 2018, it ranks sixth among the departments by population. It is named after Francisco de Paula Santander, a hero of the independence of New Granada.

It is a Colombian municipality located in the department of Santander, in the province of Guanentá. It is recognized for the preservation of its late 18th-century colonial architecture. Its historic center was declared a National Monument and Cultural Heritage Site.
Salto del Mico (Monkey's Leap)
A spectacular natural viewpoint on the edge of the canyon, famous for its panoramic views and rock formations. It is an excellent spot for taking photographs.

San Gil
Is a Colombian municipality located in the department of ADVENTURE COLLECTION Santander. It lies on the highway connecting Bucaramanga and Bogotá, and is the main urban and economic center of the southern part of the department. In 2004, it was officially designated the Tourist Capital of Santander, a title awarded by the Santander Governorate in recognition of its development in recreational activities and adventure tourism.
